AI Agent: Configurable Waiting Time Before Replying
Wong Yi Teng
Business Problem:
Currently, the AI Agent will wait for 1 second before starting generate a response when it detects an incoming user message. If a new message arrives while it’s preparing a reply, the generation process is aborted—this can avoid.
Desired Outcome:
Allow users to configure the waiting time before the AI Agents starts generating a response. This way, teams can adjust the delay to better match their chat patterns, reducing unnecessary interruptions and improving the overall conversation flow.

Add message buffer / delay for internal AI Agents
Steven Thiel
Please add a configurable message buffer for internal AI Agents.
Why this matters:
Right now, agents respond immediately to every single incoming message. In practice, many users do not send their full message at once, but split it across multiple short messages. This leads to unnatural interruptions and makes the conversation feel less human.
A configurable delay would allow the agent to wait for a defined period before responding. Any messages received during that time should be aggregated and treated as one combined message. This would also help imitate human behavior more naturally, since real people usually wait a moment before replying and respond to the full thought rather than to every single message instantly.
Expected Behavior:
Users should be able to define how long the AI Agent waits after the first incoming message. All incoming messages within that buffer window should be grouped together and processed as a single user input.
Steven Thiel
There should ideally be two buffer options:
- Wait x amount of time after the first message
- Wait x amount of time after the last incoming message
To clarify the difference:
- In mode 1, the timer starts with the first message and does not reset.
- In mode 2, the timer resets every time a new message comes in.
That would make the behavior much more flexible and useful for different conversation flows.

Hi Steven Thiel, thanks for the detailed input - the two buffer modes are a really helpful distinction.
We've noted this down and will keep you updated on any progress.

Ai - Adjust speed of respond based on length of message
Alex Kemsley
There has been a feature implemented on the speed of response, this is not customisable which would be nice if not the response time needs to reflect the length of message sent. At the moment the response is faster than someone could type on longer messages. If we could just have a 1 min delay or 5 min delay it would solve this.

Please, right now the wait time is too short.
