Business Problem:
Users are limited by a 5,000-character restriction when defining persona instructions for the AI Agents. This might restricts their ability to provide detailed guidance, tone preferences, behavior instructions, and edge-case handling for the AI.
Desired Outcome:
Increase the character limit for instructions in the AI Agent to allow for more comprehensive customization. This would enable richer AI behavior and alignment with brand communication standards.

the main problem isn't just the low number of characters allowed in the instructions. The serious thing is that the Respond.io system has great known difficulties in extracting exact data from Knowledge Sources. And that makes one of the few solutions to put that exact data, as hardcode, in the agent's instructions, and that's why more characters are needed. You wouldn't need so many characters if the respond system were good for asking questions and giving exact answers from the KS. This is not a request to implement a new feature. It's a request for them to fix a design problem in their application.

The recent expansion to 10,000 characters has been valuable, but our operational needs still exceed this capacity. Our AI Agent requires highly structured, comprehensive instructions to maintain accuracy and brand alignment.

Expand the character count of the AI agent instructions. Currently 5,000 is not enough as AI need very strong, structured instructions, if not it will hallucinate. ChatGPT's myGPT allows for 10,000.

No you can't give all the guidelines in 500 characters.
POD It could also be interesting to separate the fields of what it must do, its voice and the restrictions. This is in addition to an increase in the character limit of the general instruction.

Hello! The 5000 character limit is very fair when it is not possible to resolve processes using flows, since another type of opening is required. In our case, we must collect information, in a strict order, validate it and, in the medium, provide complementary information that may influence the answers to be questioned. We were able to adjust it, but we have very little room left for maneuver. A limit of 20,000 characters for more complex processes, as Alex Kemsley mentions, would be ideal. We love the product, thank you very much!

The current limit is 5000 characters, it would be nice if you could add more, but with 1,000,000 characters that add up to knowledge what doesn't fit into those 5000 you can give it to you there, the truth is I'm using it and it barely reaches 180,000 characters used plus 5000 instructions and passes prices, quota options and value of each fee, all the technical data, comparative tables and much more with a level of detail that even people thank you as if you were a person. I think that something even more important would be to be able to program for the bot to contact the person after X days, that would change the game completely to recover lost LEDs or do automatic follow-ups, but the optimization for now I think that to be beta it is very good, I generate the information and knowledge to give it with gpt or gemini, obtaining extensive and detailed documents for basic use, we have more than 150 products and even if it doesn't reach everyone yet it has loaded more than 50 options and says them perfectly, I think there is a lot of work from the side of the configuration and the documents that are loaded to it more than in the initial 5000.
