Contacts: Bulk-assign tags to more than 100 contacts at a time
sempiternal
Business Problem:
Bulk tag assignment is limited to 100 contacts at a time. Teams managing large contact lists must repeat the selection multiple times to tag contacts at scale, making audience segmentation and tag-based workflow enrollment slow and manual.
Desired Outcome:
Allow users to bulk-assign tags to more than 100 contacts at a time (e.g. up to 1,000 or more) directly from the contact list, reducing the effort required to segment large audiences and enroll them into tag-based workflows.
Current Workaround:
Contact Import can be used to add tags to all contacts being added to or updated in the workspace. However, this requires an import action rather than an in-app bulk selection, which adds friction when tagging existing contacts at scale.

Function to label more than 100 contacts simultaneously

Having the function of tagging more than 100 contacts at a time would make it possible to segment audiences much faster and more precisely, taking advantage of labels as a central axis for organizing and following up contacts.
For our use, the main benefit would be to be able to massively tag large volumes of contacts and, based on those tags, automatically enroll them in different workflows (for example, campaigns, transactional journeys or tracking flows), without having to do manual uploads or actions for small blocks.
This would reduce operating times, avoid human errors when working with multiple segments and would give us greater control over which groups enter each workflow, relying on label-based rules to activate or stop automations depending on the strategy.

Hi sempiternal thank you for your request!
Currently, you can use Contact Import to add tags to all Contacts that are being added to or updated on the Workspace. Refer to the help doc here: https://respond.io/help/contacts/contact-import
