Email Channel: Auto-resize/compress signature images to prevent composer overcrowding
Tawfik Maged
Business Problem:
Images added to an email signature are not automatically resized or compressed by the platform — they render at their native file size. When an agent uploads a large image, it displays oversized in the composer, crowding out the surrounding signature text and making the email harder to read.
Desired Outcome:
The platform automatically resizes/compresses signature images to a sensible display size on upload (or enforces a max display width), so the signature always renders cleanly regardless of the original image's dimensions.
Use Cases:
An agent uploads a company logo or headshot to their signature without manually resizing it first, and it displays oversized, crowding the signature text.
Signatures remain consistent and readable across all agents' outgoing emails without requiring each person to manually compress images before upload.
Current Workaround:
Agents must manually resize/compress the image to a smaller file size before uploading it to the signature composer.
