Business Problem:
Currently, respond.io does not provide a way to create and track tasks directly within conversations or sales opportunities.
Teams handling sales follow-ups often need to manage callbacks, quotations, approvals, or next steps manually using external tools, increasing the risk of missed follow-ups and disorganized workflows.
Desired Outcome:
Allow users to create and assign tasks directly within conversations or sales opportunities.
For example, agents could:
- create follow-up tasks
- assign tasks to teammates
- set due dates
- track pending actions
This would help teams manage callbacks, quotations, and next steps more easily without using external tools.

Business Problem
Respond.io is used heavily for sales, support, and post-sales operations, where agents frequently encounter customer requests that cannot be resolved immediately.
Currently, there is no native feature to create and manage tasks linked to a conversation. This results in:
- Tasks being tracked externally (spreadsheets, CRMs, Notion, WhatsApp groups, etc.).
- Agents forgetting follow-ups because nothing is tied to the conversation timeline.
- Managers having no visibility into pending tasks or team task progress.
- A lack of internal collaboration tools for discussing or clarifying tasks.
- This gap affects lead follow-up, customer satisfaction, and team accountability.
Desired Outcome
Introduce a built-in Task Manager that allows agents and managers to create and track tasks directly within Respond.io.

Totally agree with with option - would be nice to add tasks and step by step on sales process in respond.

Yes, many of our customers report after-sales issues that cannot be resolved immediately and they hope to generate tasks to be handled by others. Management can then monitor the team's task progress.

Adding my vote here: this feature is really important to complete the sales cycle. Being able to schedule follow-ups directly from the conversation view and receive reminders would greatly improve workflow and ensure no contact is left unattended.
