Business problem:
- As a user, I would like to automatically send a public reply from respond.io to contacts who comment on my Instagram posts or Reels, so that I can capture and engage leads while their interest is at its peak.
Desired outcome:
- Auto-reply to comments publicly
- Boost engagement and conversion in real time
Use Cases:
- A user comments on a Reel and receives an public reply
- A follower asks a question and gets a public + private response
The current workaround:
- N/A

Instagram: Ability to Reply to Comments + Add Reactions (like ManyChat)
Craving English
Respond.io already handles Instagram DMs and comment-to-DM automation really well, but there's a key limitation: when a comment comes into the Inbox, there's no way to reply directly to that comment (public reply) or add a reaction (like/heart) to it — the way ManyChat does. Because of this gap, businesses that want full comment engagement (public reply + reaction, not just a private DM) are forced to keep a second tool connected to Instagram just to cover that specific function, even though Respond.io already handles everything else related to IG interactions.
Desired outcome:
It would be great if, from the same comment thread in the Inbox, users could:
- Send a public reply directly to the Instagram comment (not just a DM)
- Add a reaction (like/heart) to the comment, similar to ManyChat's functionality
This would let businesses fully centralize their Instagram comment management in Respond.io — replying, reacting, and following up via DM — without needing a second platform just for comment-level engagement. It would also make Respond.io a much stronger all-in-one alternative to tools like ManyChat for IG-focused businesses.

Instagram: Handle Replies to Comments in respond.io
Attia Saleh
Business problem:
- As a user, I would like to view and respond to replies on Instagram comment threads directly from respond.io, without needing to switch to Instagram.
- Currently, replies to comments are not manageable within respond.io, which requires teams to monitor and respond from Instagram manually.
Desired outcome:
- Ability to receive and view replies to Instagram comment threads inside respond.io.
- Ability to reply to those comment replies directly from the platform.
- Enable teams to manage full Instagram comment conversations from respond.io without switching tools.
- Improve response speed and engagement with audiences interacting in comment threads.

Hello, you must include the possibility of replying to comments on all available social networks (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.).

Hi Respond.io team.
Is there any plans to implement this feature. We are missing to comments on instagram, facebook and tiktok (organic and ads posts) and a lot of sales are lost due to this. Not all customers will send a direct message. This is essential

Hi Pasha Golshani thank you for your feedback!
We understand how crucial it is to engage with customers through public replies on Instagram and other platforms. While we can't share a specific timeline for this feature right now, please know that your input is important to us. We'll keep you posted on any updates or progress.
Thanks again for your patience and understanding :)

the option to answer public comments in instagram and facebook its very basic and useful. We lost a lot of hours responding one by one.

This would be very useful, even if the comment enters the API as a form of mention and when clicked it appears the same as the photo. And when you click, it takes you to the comment. But if you can manage it directly via the API, it would be great.

It would be great to have this function since many people start interacting from a comment
