Knowledge Source: Notion

Business Problem:
Many teams already maintain their internal documentation, SOPs, FAQs, and product knowledge in Notion. Currently, to use this content with AI Agent, users must manually export pages as PDFs or copy content into uploaded files — and repeat this process every time the content changes. This creates:
- A constant sync burden: any update in Notion requires a manual re-export and re-upload to keep AI Agent current
- Version drift: AI Agent answers from stale content when Notion docs are updated but the Knowledge Source isn't
- Duplication of effort: teams are forced to maintain content in two places — Notion for internal use, and a separate file for AI Agent
Desired Outcome:
Allow Notion pages to be connected directly as a Knowledge Source for AI Agent and other respond.io AI features (AI Assist, AI Copilot). The AI should read Notion content dynamically so that updates in Notion are reflected automatically — without requiring manual re-uploads.
Use Cases
- Internal SOPs & escalation guides: Support teams keep runbooks in Notion; AI Agent can reference the latest version without admin involvement
- Product & pricing documentation: Product teams update specs or pricing in Notion; AI Agent immediately answers with accurate information
- FAQ maintenance: Non-technical teams manage Q&A content in Notion without needing to touch respond.io settings on every edit
- Onboarding & policy docs: HR or Operations teams maintain policies in Notion that AI Agent can surface to customers or internal users on demand
Current Workaround
- Export Notion pages as PDF or plain text and upload them manually as a Knowledge Source
- Re-export and re-upload every time Notion content is updated, then re-link to each AI Agent using that source
