We’ve got a nifty new tool: Shortcuts! There is so much you can do with this feature. The elements you need to know are:
- Shortcut Trigger
- Shortcut Button
- Shortcut Form
- Shortcut Permissions
All you need to do is to create a Workflow with the newly-introduced Shortcut Trigger. This Workflow can then be triggered on demand in the Messages Module with the Shortcut Button.
Use Shortcut Forms to create template forms for everyday processes. Without leaving a Conversation, you can trigger a Shortcut Workflow to update orders, initiate refund processes or even send out advanced surveys and record the answers in a Google Sheet. Finally, control agent access to this powerful button with Shortcut Permissions.

As with surveys, there should be an option to terminate a workflow as well: Contacts do not terminate 100% of a workflow and in some cases, manual closure of a workflow may be required.

With the workflow module, it is mentioned that the surveys will become obsolete. Currently a User can very conveniently push a pre built survey form during a conversation to collect some specific data, for orders, info update etc.
If surveys are removed the only way to do a similar task would be via a tag.
Similar to how a survey can be sent now (within the chat area), if we can manually trigger a workflow event similarly this would do the job.
