I would like to have a global search bar on top of the platform from where user can search into the entire platform not just in a specific module, clicking on search result will take user to exact thread like if I searched for a contact by its name then by clicking the suggestion from listing I can go directly go to contact details (popup). if user search for something that is not having any results then it will navigate the user to the search page (a separate page for searching) that page will also be having some filters to categorize the search, like :
Everything
Contacts
Custom Fields
Surveys
Broadcast
Automation
Snippets
Files
under that filters, the search will be done into a specific module.

Search contacts by phone number without country code

We would like the ability to search for contacts by phone number even when the country code is not included.
Currently, Respond.io only returns results when we search using the full E.164 format (e.g. +9665XXXXXXX). However, many team members are used to searching by local mobile numbers without the country code.
This causes extra steps and slows down our workflow because agents must always remember and type the country code first.
We are requesting:
- The option to search contacts by the phone number digits, even if the country code is missing.
- Alternatively, a more flexible search that matches any part of the phone number, not only from the beginning.
This improvement would make contact search much faster and more user-friendly for our team, especially in countries where everyone is familiar with the local format and rarely uses the international prefix in daily work.

Searchable Company Name field

When dealing with B2B clients it is necessary to search contacts by company name.
At the moment we have to use Surname field for company name, because custom fields are non-searchable.
It corrupts the integrity of the data and breaks communication messages linked to Name.

We need better ways to search files and media in respond.io:
- Search across all conversations by file/media name and/or filter for messages with attachments (images, PDFs, documents, voice notes, videos, etc.).
- Inside a single conversation, filter messages to only those with attachments and search by file/media name.
- Optionally show a "Files & Media" tab per contact/conversation listing all shared files and media for quick access.
This is important because we frequently exchange invoices, POs, images, videos, and voice notes and need to retrieve them quickly without scrolling.

At the moment contacts can be searched only by name and surname.
We deal with legal entities representatives, so we need to be able to add Company name.
Although the company name can be added, it can't be searched.
We see a solution to extend search not only by name, but also to the rest of contact fields.

Enable the search engine to allow search without defining the state (closed, snoozed, open)

Before February 14, the search engine allowed to search without having to establish if the conversation was closed, snoozed or open. Now it's harder to find a conversation.
