- As a business owner, I want to create structured interactions for business messaging using WhatsApp Flows, so that I can provide customers with a more organized and seamless communication experience.
Desired outcome
- A feature that allows businesses to define, configure, and customize messages with rich interactions using WhatsApp Flows.
Use Cases
- Customers can utilize Flows to schedule appointments, browse products, gather customer feedback, generate new sales leads, or engage in any other scenario where structured communication enhances the natural and comfortable interaction with customers.
- Businesses can use WhatsApp Flows to automate customer onboarding processes, guiding customers through a series of structured messages to collect necessary information and provide a smooth onboarding experience.
The current workaround
- Currently, businesses can sync WhatsApp Flow templates from their Meta Business Portfolio to respond.io and use them as WhatsApp templates.
INDONESIA
This feature is extremely critical for businesses scaling on WhatsApp.
Currently, respond.io does not support WhatsApp Flows, even though it is already part of the official WhatsApp capabilities.
WhatsApp Flows enable structured, guided interactions such as lead capture, onboarding, appointment booking, and product selection — all within a seamless chat experience.
For businesses like ours that rely heavily on automation and conversational journeys, this is not a “nice-to-have” — it’s a core requirement to stay competitive.
Key impact if implemented:
Higher conversion rates through native in-chat forms
Better data collection without redirecting users
More advanced automation use cases (onboarding, surveys, qualification)
Reduced friction → better customer experience
Many other platforms are already moving toward supporting this. If respond.io prioritizes WhatsApp Flows, it will significantly strengthen its position as a leading WhatsApp solution.

Currently, If you build your flows directly on Meta and sync them into respond.io, you should still be able to trigger and use them in your workflows.
Could you share more about where the sync workaround is falling short for you? For eg, are the synced flows not appearing or not triggerable the way you'd expect?
Understanding the specific gap will help us make sure we're solving the right thing.
