Workflows Trigger: Contact Created
Alessandro Cognigni
Business Problem
Currently, Workflows cannot be triggered when a Contact is created, preventing teams from automating actions (e.g., sending a welcome message or template) at the moment a Contact created in respond.io from an external CRM (e.g. HubSpot).
Desired Outcome:
Allow workflows to trigger when a Contact is created, enabling automatic actions such as sending messages or templates immediately after the Contact is created.

Workflow trigger: Adding contact created as a workflow trigger

Currently we have automation that reflect new contacts from our CRM (Zoho) to respond. the new contacts doesn't mean that the contact open the conversation and these new contacts stay unassigned till we manually do that .
So our request is to have workflow trigger to assign new contact once they are created instead of leaving them unassigned.

This is a MUST HAVE. When a contact is added to receive an automatic WELCOME MESSAGE like in an email automation. Please do it.

Automated Template messaging once a new contact is created

Once we create a new contact, there should be an automation to send templates to the new contact

Hi Alessandro Cognigni, could you share more on your use case? For example: what kind of workflows you wish to trigger let's say we have "contact created" trigger? 😊
Alessandro Cognigni
Shi Hui: Hi Shi, I give you an example of my case: we send a "welcome" message to every person who sign up in our app. We have 5 different buyer personas and 5 different templates. It would be easier for me to trigger a workflow when "a contact is created" and then set up the branches "if is buyer persona X send this message", "if is buyer persona Y send this message", etc..

Alessandro Cognigni: Understand your use case here. This trigger is definitely a helpful one. We will take this into consideration if we get to work on this feature.
Thank you for your feedback!
Alessandro Cognigni
Shi Hui: Thanks! It would be a killer feature
