Agents are expected to add a conversation category and summary when closing chats (or manually trigger the AI Chat Summary feature), but this can be inconsistent, time-consuming, and dependent on agent discipline. In high-volume teams, agents may skip this step, enter incomplete notes, or provide summaries that vary in quality.
This reduces the usefulness of closing notes for reporting, quality assurance, compliance review, and future agent handoffs. It also makes it harder for teams to rely on conversation records as a consistent source of truth.
Desired Outcome:
Automatically generate the conversation category and summary using AI when a conversation is closed.
Use Case:
A team uses closing notes to review agent performance, understand customer issues, and report on conversation trends. Instead of relying on each agent to manually select a category and write a summary, AI automatically generates both when the conversation is closed.
This helps managers get more consistent reporting data, allows agents to save time, and gives future agents enough context to understand the previous conversation without reading the full chat history.

It would be highly valuable to have the ability to generate an AI summary of each chat through Workflow Automation.
For example, whenever an agent closes a conversation, the workflow could automatically generate a concise AI summary of the chat and send that summary to our CRM system via webhook.
This would help us capture key customer details, lead intent, service requirements, objections, and conversation outcomes more efficiently, giving us better insights for sales follow-up, reporting, and lead quality analysis.
Currently we have only manual option available for generating AI Summary.
