The same way we add a "source" when a conversation is open, we can add a "channel", obviously, sometimes there won't be a channel (in case a user or automation opens it, those could just be "No Channel" or "None".

Take a look at the Conversation Opened graph and select "Conversation Opened Channel" from the "Group By" option to see how the number of conversations opened is distributed across channels. Please keep in mind that this data is only obtainable for conversations opened by incoming messages from Contacts or outgoing messages sent by Users.

This metric is one of the most important thing to have as we in the front are using multiple channels to receive raw leads (contacts). These reports will be able to help us in tracking the flow of traffic flowing in from the various channels and also for us to monitor our channels as we do also post ads and promos via those channels. These metric will be used daily for reporting to our bosses.

Yes, it is very important to have a "channel" as we need to know how well our ads are running and where are these leads coming from.

This is a very important metric to have - more important to have it for 'conversation/contact' than for 'messages', we need a report to track where the contacts are coming from, in order to track our channel's traffic.
